Author Biography


Author Jarrod Stephen Sadulski is a member of the
United States Coast Guard with over eleven years of
active duty and reserve service.  Jarrod had been
assigned to active duty assignments in the Great Lakes
region, the Gulf Coast, and South Florida.  From
September 2001 to January 2006, he was assigned to
Coast Guard Station Miami Beach and served as a Law
Enforcement Supervisor.  He routinely conducted joint
agency narcotics operations, international anti-
smuggling operations, and federal maritime law
enforcement.  He was a member of an inter-agency
narcotics interdiction team, and participated in many
high profile smuggling and immigration interdictions.
He continues to serve as a reservist in the military.  In
addition, Jarrod serves his community as a law
enforcement officer, and as an adjunct college
professor.

While on active duty he used various voluntary
education programs available to military members to
obtain an associate’s degree from the University of
Phoenix, a bachelor’s degree in Administration of
Justice from Thomas Edison State College, and a
master’s degree in Criminal Justice from American
Military University. He is currently working on his
doctorate at Northcentral University.  He has been able
to fund the majority of his education costs, including
graduate school, by utilizing the military voluntary
education programs.  These programs included tuition
assistance, CLEP® and DSST® examinations, and
various service related grants and scholarships.  He
has been recognized for his academic achievements
while serving in the military with the Arnold Fletcher
Award for Excellence in Independent Learning Award
and was admitted into the Golden Key International
Honour Society.

Jarrod wrote this book to assist other military members
earn the college degree that he feels every service
member deserves.  He routinely speaks to military
personnel and provides counseling to members
regarding their path to a college degree.  Jarrod is an
active member in the Association of Military Recruiters
and Counselors, which recognizes patriotism in military
veterans and provides excellent services to military
veterans. He has volunteered his time to become a
Global Mentor through the American Public University
System Global Mentor Network program.
