Jarrod
Author Jarrod Stephen Sadulski started his military career in 1997. Like many other young enlisted servicemembers, Jarrod viewed college education as a distant endeavor that would be difficult to achieve on active duty. As common with junior enlisted servicemembers, Jarrrod had a lack of understanding of the voluntary education programs and military funding opportunities that exist for military members.
As Jarrod started a very young family, he realized that it didn't matter if he finished a military career of twenty years, or departed service at the end of his current enlistment, his financial goals in life would never be reached if his military experience was not coupled with a college education. As a junior enlisted servicemember, he started to untangle the maze of military voluntary education programs and the funding programs that accompany them. Without a guide to explain how all of the programs work, Jarrod slowly found different programs that he was eligible for. At times the "red tape" of government funding for education was discouraging, but Jarrod spent years researching and putting into practice many different programs that are available, and are designed for servicemembers from all five branches of the Armed Services.
Over time, Jarrod used the various military voluntary education programs to obtain his associate's degree from the University of Phoenix, his bachelor's degree from Thomas Edison State College, and his master's degree from American Military University. Jarrod realized that he could have completed his education in half the time if he would have had a comprehensive guide that spelled out the step-by-step process of successfully locating and funding the military education programs that exist. More importantly, Jarrod realized that he could help other servicemembers if he were to write a military education guide that is proven to work.
After completing a little over eight years of active duty service, Jarrod entered the Reserves.
Jarrod's success in his education has had a direct impact on the success in all three of the career fields that he pursues. Jarrod was recognized for his academic achievements while serving in the military with the Arnold Fletcher Award for Excellence in Independent Learning Award, and was admitted into the Golden Key International Honour Society. He has been selected as a Global Mentor and a University Ambassador through the American Public University System. In addition, Jarrod is a council member on the Homeland Security and Criminal Justice Industry Advisory Councils with the American Public University System. Jarrod has been honored with several military medals and commendations through his military career. Jarrod has been invited to speak with military troops at different bases regarding the importance of pursuing voluntary education through the military.
Jarrod wrote "Achieving Your Educational Goals While in Military Service - A Real Life Approach" to help military members and spouses get the most out of their military benefits.
